Description
BCM2 is very fragile unit, even the regular maintenance work on the car might cause issues. Most of them are software faults, hardware faults happen very rarely – but are possible.
This service will repair the data stored in EEPROM (both external and internal).
If after using the service the DTCs are still present your unit might require replacing or hardware repair – both of this are beyond the scope of this service.
With damaged EEPROM:
- the ignition doesn’t go on, either dashboard stays dark or there is “Steering defective! Do not drive vehicle!” message on the dashboard
- the diagnosis may be totally or partialy unavailable
- some DTCs (mentioned below) can’t be deleted
The service will automatically fix diagnosis and following DTCs:
- 00003 – Control Module
- 16344 – Control Module – RAM Error
- 16346 – Control Module faulty/defective (ROM Error)
- 16347 – Control Module faulty/defective (EEPROM Error)
